The Adeebs are co-authors of Nigeria: One Nation, Many Cultures a juvenile library book on the geography, history, cultures, and arts of the West African country of Nigeria.

Hassan and Bonnetta Adeeb have presented at the National Council for Social Studies as well as the African Studies Association.

Hassan Adeeb was a Fulbright-Hayes Summer Study Abroad Scholar (1991) to Senegal and Ghana.

Hassan Adeeb was selected as the 1996 James Madison Memorial Foundation Fellow for Maryland.  One social studies teacher is selected from each state each year as a graduate fellow to study the foundations of the US Constitution.

Bonnetta Adeeb was Fulbright Scholar to South Africa during the Summer of 1995.

Bonnetta Adeeb is also a Certified Instructor and Trainer of the Maryland State Course “Education that is Multicultural".

Meet the Authors 

Currently both Hassan and Bonnetta Adeeb are classroom teachers. Together they gave have over 45 years of teaching experience.

Hassan Adeeb earned his Bachelor of Science in Education from Northeastern University in 1975 and a Masters of Arts in Political Science in 2002 from Howard University.

 

Bonnetta Adeeb earned her  Bachelor of Science in Education from San Jose State University in 1976 and a Teaching Certificate in Education in 1978 from California State University, Los Angeles.
